The past 4.5 years of business have been a huge learning curve for me, but the one thing I knew from the start of my business was that I wanted to give back to those in need in the world and around me, in any way I could, through the work I do. I also wanted to go the extra mile and support the charities that are making a real difference too.I spent a lot of time researching charities and working out ones I wanted to support. I wanted a charity that supports GLOBAL issues, like Human Trafficking. I also looked for something that supports and empowers woman and children in Africa and one that affects us all at any given point in our lives, Mental Health.TaylorCare currently supports four key charities, which include:R U OK? is an initiative to raise awareness about suicide and ways to support those who are experiencing mental health issues.Freedom Hub which works with survivors of human trafficking in Sydney. The charity operates an ethical café in Sydney’s Waterloo. Some 29 million people are trafficked in the world today – that equates to the combined population of Australia and New Zealand.Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia, a charity founded by Obstetrician/Gynaecologist Catherine Hamlin who performs lifesaving operations on women who have complications in childbirth in the villages in Ethiopia.A21 Campaign, a global charity which rescues women, children and men who are being trafficked around the globe and provides accommodation, medical attention, legal support and counselling.A proud moment for me this week was to be featured in the RCSA industry newsletter for the work we do as a business to make a difference as well as my experience with their PEARL mentor program.Read about it hereI’m so honoured to be featured in my industry body RCSA who really are making a difference in leading the world of work in Australia & NZ!“Be the change you want to see in the world!”
