Are you a working mum feeling the pressure of your career and the labours of motherhood?I just wanted you to know you are not alone. While you’re busy juggling work-life balance and motherhood, there are so many other mums around you doing the same.We may not always get the time to connect but I want to remind you that being a working mum is an amazing juggle, and I want to applaud to you for doing it. The role model you are showcasing to your kids is incredible, it demonstrates to your children that you can go after your dreams and ambitions while being there for them too!I’ve recently had the pleasure to meet a number of working mums who are all on a journey of managing the working mum life. I’ve found that the more I connect with mums at my daughter’s childcare centre, swimming class on the weekends, or clients who are mums too I realise how extraordinary it is that we are all on a journey of being high functioning working mums. Yet at times we forget to reach out to each other, and support one another.I understand that we all get super busy going 110 miles an hour the majority of the time, especially if you’re like me, an entrepreneur running your own business. This often means I work more than full time plus trying to make time to be there for my daughter in-between work and also taking time for my own health, wellbeing and self-care. I’m living proof that if you want to, you can have it all and be a working mum, and you can make quality time for your child and look after yourself at the same time. I try and exercise up to 4-6 times a week, I have achieved dropping over 20kg post-baby weight,  run a business full time and still get valuable time with my daughter before and after work. On weekends I am a wife, a friend and a boss too. It’s not easy and at times I do get overwhelmed, but when I do, I make time for self-care and to recharge my batteries, so I can be the best I can be, in all areas of my life.In the words of another entrepreneur, Ashy Bines ‘Choose your hard’ in life, and if you choose to go down the path of being a working mum, I want you to shake off the guilt attached to going to work! Hold your head high and be proud of all that you are achieving at work and home.Take some time this week to have coffee or lunch or even a phone call with another working mum and let’s unite together! We are better together and we are making a difference in the lives of our kids every day, while being amazing business women too!
