Have you ever felt like your job doesn’t make a difference to anyone?? Do you question why are you even doing the job you do?? Well let me tell you how you are in fact able to make a difference, it’s just a matter of perspective.I recently employed a cleaner to come and help me with cleaning my house once a fortnight and was amazed at the difference it’s made to my life already. As a business owner working more than full time hours and having a 1 year old child I often feel torn between motherhood and running my business while keeping on top of the house work. Having the cleaner now means on weekends when I would be cleaning I can now spend time with my daughter and have more quality time together. To me that is making a huge difference to my life and ultimately my daughter’s life who means the world to me. Another example is the regular waitresses at my local coffee shop in the morning before work and childcare always greets us with a smile & engages with us. This simple act means so much to me and my family and makes our time together more meaningful.Running a Health & Social Care recruitment agency I’m constantly blown away at the work our Clients & Job Seekers do to make a difference to disadvantaged people in society. It’s so rewarding for me as a business owner to know what I’m doing in my business is making a difference to each person we place is a tool in making a difference to those in need.I challenge you to think of each customer or client you serve to see what you are doing is making a difference to that person. Each person you help then goes and makes a difference to others. We all have a part to play on this earth and we only get one chance to make it count so why not make a difference in the lives of people you connect with each day.“We can change the world and make it a better place. It’s in your hands to make a difference” Nelson Mandela
