Never start a business just to “MAKE MONEY” start a business to make a difference – Marie ForleoAs the end of the financial year draws to a close for 2017 as a business we have committed to giving 5% of our profit to charity and I’m proud to donate this financial year to four charities close to my heart and I wanted to share with you about each charity we support and why.Hamilin Fitsula Ethiopia- Helps women in Ethiopia who have suffered from complications after childbirth. After having complications myself with having my daughter a few years ago I realised how fortunate I was to deliver my baby in Australia. I was so grateful for the medical professionals that helped me and my daughter at that time I couldn’t help but think what happens to women in third world countries who have complications? That’s when I discovered Hamlin and have been blown away by the work this organisation does ever since. This year we have been fortunate enough to donate 4 fistula operations to women who need this life-saving operation.RUOK– Is a mental health charity who educates in schools and work places around mental health and people at risk of suicide. I think we all have either gone through mental health issues or know someone in our family or friends who have in Australia and after my own journey with depression as a teenager, I was very aware how a simple conversation of asking RUOK could change a life. So I’m committed to not only donate to this charity this year but also put my hand up to be an Ambassador to RUOK next year and spread the message a simple conversation could save a life as it did for me!A21 campaign & Freedom Hub are actively rescuing and helping those affected by human trafficking in Australia, Asia & Europe. After finding out over 29 million are being trafficked globally I had to find ways to support these amazing charities. We have not only donated to these charities but also have provided work experience to survivors of Human Trafficking in Sydney and help them get work ready so they can rebuild their lives again.I’m proud as a small business to not only actively help those in need through the recruitment we do in the Social Work & Nursing Sectors but also to give back to those less fortunate to us too. It’s a dream come true for me to have my own business where I can give to charity. I choose to live my life to give to those in need and you can too. Every dollar can make a difference!Live to give!If you would like to give to any of these charities you can follow the links below:Hamlin Fistula-DonateRUOK?DonateA21DonateFreedom HubDonate
